Has anyone collected around Misson, BC?

I was wondering if anyone has collected around Stave Lake near Mission, BC. Also does anyone know of any mining claims north of Hatzic Lake east of Mission. My brothers friend found an old mine north of the lake and I was wondering if anyone has heard of any old claims?
